Vista 170 Facial

Vista 170 Facial

How the upgraded UniFold Vacuum Technology enhances paper quality tolerance for flawless performance.

One of Europe’s leading independent converting companies was relying on sub-contractors for facial tissue products. The difficulties in controlling delivery time and quality, especially from overseas companies, as well as the growing trend for facial tissue products, led to the decision to invest in a new converting line. The nature of the product and the diverse technical options available on the market make the selection of an efficient line configuration challenging, with many variables to consider in both converting and packaging.

United Converting Tissue has been awarded an order for a 1.4 m width Vista 170, complete with a C250 nip calender and Ensis 150 logsaw. The line can operate at 170 m/min and 17 logs/min. This configuration follows the philosophy of Simplifying Tissue Converting®. This performance allows the logsaw to operate on a single cutting lane, balancing the performance of downstream equipment for smooth operation. Moreover, due to the elevated number of SKUs, the customer can use three different formats of paper on the folding head. This feature underscores the importance of a machine that is simple for operators to run, like the Vista 170. The optimized design enables rapid changeovers to different product specifications and paper widths that can be run on the interfolder without any trim, reducing waste to a minimum.
